President's Message
Dear Ladies,
I am excited and proud to serve you as your President this Columbian year. I am confident to say that this year we will service our Auxiliary in sisterhood with kindness and respect to one another; with unity we can make great things happen. I look forward to seeing everyone at our membership meetings. I would like to thank the following members for accepting the following positions: Pat Feely as our Financial Secretary, Jane Magno-DAnna, PP for taking over the Trustee 3 years position and to our new committee Co-Chair for Sunshine Sick/Vigil, Michelle Ciardulli. It is with great pride to announce that each of the following organizations received a portion totaling $13,000.00 for 2016-2017 Columbian year. Camp Anchor $2,000.00, Juvenile Diabetes Research $2,000.00, Shamus Ward Foundation $2,000.00, Island Harvest $2,000.00, The Morgan Center $2,000.00, Senior Community Service Center $1,000.00, & St. Anthony's Church $2,000.00. ($1,000.00 directly designated for the roof and $1,000.00 directly designated for St. Anthony's food pantry).

Membership Meeting 7:30PM
Tuesday, September 5th 2017. We have a full agenda and your attendance is appreciated. Copies of the proposed budget will be distributed for your review and will be voted upon. Knights who are in good standing are welcomed to join us for coffee and cake after the Ladies membership official meeting portion at 8:15PM.
Ways & Means
Dear Ladies – Welcome back to another exciting Auxiliary year! As your Vice President and Chairlady of Ways and Means I'm looking forward to all the fundraising events. We will kick off the year with the Annual Three Chances to Win Raffle starting at our September Meeting, so remember you have to be in it to win it.
Night at the Races
Thursday, October 26th 7:00PM to 11:00PM. Doors Open at 6:30PM, first race starts at 7:00PM sharp. $25.00 pp includes Dinner, Soda, Coffee and Dessert. There will be a Cash Bar. Please remember this is one of our major fundraisers; bring your family and friends to support us as we raise money for our charities. Ladies wear your best "Picture Hat" and gentlemen wear your best Fedora our annual hat contest. Prizes will be awarded to one lucky lady and one lucky gentlemen! Tickets will be sold at the September and October meetings. Nominating Committee
The nominating committee would like to announce that our Auxiliary has been blessed with two successors for vacancies in the Executive Board.
Membership Dues 2017-2018
Now accepting dues for 2017/2018 Auxiliary year. Please mail your $15.00 check payable to Ladies Auxiliary to the Attention of Financial Secretary 2985 Kenneth Place Oceanside, NY 11572. Your membership card will be available at the September membership meeting. A cardholder will be available ONLY for the members who attend the September meeting. Also, please note to be a member in good standing, dues must be paid before December 2017. If you have changes regarding address, last names, telephone number and email please submit changes to Ladies3481@yahoo.com or call 516-678-1237 dial Opt # 2 then Opt.# 9. Lifetime Members
Lifetime Members must be 80 yrs. or older before December 2017 and you will be considered a "Lifetime Member" and your dues will be waived. You must provide proof to President, Vanessa Ambrosecchia or Vice President, Lisa Kahl to receive your Lifetime Membership card.
Recipe Book
The book is coming to print this Auxiliary year – we are still collecting recipes; submit your favorite meal, appetizer, dessert or beverage recipe ASAP. Drop off or mail your recipe to: Ladies Auxiliary Attn: Amy Bermudez, PP 2985 Kenneth Place Oceanside, NY 11572. Sunshine Sick/Vigil
Our sister Kelly Dunseith loss of her sister Lynne Meyer. Please keep Kelly & family in your prayers. If any members are in need of cheer, prayers and/or well wishes Please welcome our newly appointed Sunshine sick/Vigil Co-Chair Michelle Ciardulli. She can be reached at 516-507-9570.
Fraternal Assistance

Daisies for Debbie's Garden of Opportunity
Please support our sister-in-need. Debbie Stallone Metzler, PP x 3 - as well as others by donating $20.00 to her benefit fund and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. It was through the kindness of our Treasurer, Kim Marchetti, who located and facilitated our tee shirt sponsor, Botticelli; we are truly grateful to both of them. To all of our sisters who already picked up their shirts, and the faithful servants helping to promote donations , I thank you. Hope to see you all wearing those pink cheery shirts with messages of hope, help, faith and love at our September meeting! To all those would wish to join us in this effort, it is not too late. Shirts sizes small through 3 X will be available at the September meeting. Lastly, stationary will be available at the meeting for you to write a note to Debbie . Peace to you all.
