President's Message
Dear Ladies,
  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Now we're on to the business of fundraising. Our fundraising efforts are for the sole purpose of raising money to help local charities. The more successful we are at these events, the more our charities will benefit. One of our upcoming events is Paint Night on February 8th, a welcome distraction during these winter months. You don’t have to be an artist. Join us and you will be pleasantly surprised at what you can accomplish. April brings our annual Fashion Show, always a much anticipated event and our biggest fundraiser. The theme this year is "Mardi Gras" so be prepared to have a lot of fun! We also have a very special Birthday this month! Let's all give our Best Wishes to Julia Pasqualino on her Milestone 100th Birthday, January 31st. As we go forward in our daily lives, please remember that a small gesture on your part can mean the world to someone else.

Membership Meeting
Tuesday, February 5th is the next membership meeting. We will begin at 7:00 pm sharp. It is Heart Disease Awareness Month. Please wear RED to the meeting. Help build a basket for the Fashion Show. We are asking our members to bring an item to contribute to our baskets to raffle off. Some suggestions are a bottle of wine, $5 scratch offs, gift cards, gift certificates, non-perishable foods, sports items, beauty products, etc. The item(s) must be new and unused.
Change for March Membership Meeting
Due to Shrove Tuesday falling on Tuesday, 3/5/19 the Membership Meeting for March ONLY will be held on MONDAY, MARCH 4th. The meeting will begin at 7pm sharp.
Program Committee
Join in the fun and play a game after our official meeting portion of the night. Valentine's Day Left/Right Game Story. Prizes will be awarded! Please call Amy Bermudez, PP at 516-384-9566 with any questions.
Paint Night
Friday, February 8th 7:00pm – 10:00pm $45pp, St. Anthony's Cafeteria. BYOB and snacks. Form and payment of $45 is due by 2/1/19. Spring Fashion Show – Mardi Gras
Sunday, April 7th 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm TICKETS ON SALE! Save $10 buy your tickets now! Tickets sold before 2/28/19 will be $35 pp. Tickets purchased after 3/1/19 will be $45 pp. Only 200 people will attend this event on a first come-first serve basis so don’t delay! If you wish to secure a table you must pay in full by 2/28/19. Raffle baskets galore, 50/50 and much more! Family Style Meal, Soda, Coffee, Dessert and *Cash Bar* Join us with your family and friends as we raise money for charities. Basket Donations: Donations of wrapped Raffle Baskets valued at $25 or more would be greatly appreciated. We are counting on the generosity of our Members for help. A few friends together can make a wonderful theme basket and we would be very grateful for your contribution. Our raffle baskets generate thousands of dollars for charity!

Volunteers Needed: We need your help! We are looking for members to pitch in with all aspects of the event. Volunteers to go out to solicit donations would be especially helpful. Any effort is greatly appreciated! Please contact Margie Logan, VP at 516-318-4452.
Membership Dues
The dues of this Auxiliary are $15 per auxiliary calendar year from September to June. Dues are payable in person or by mail to the Financial Secretary, Doreen Caputi by December 1st of the current auxiliary year. A list of delinquent members will be published in March's Newsletter. Please make your $15 check payable to the Ladies Auxiliary. If you are paying by mail, please mark the envelope Attn: Doreen Caputi, Financial Secretary and mail to 2985 Kenneth Place, Oceanside, NY 11572. Please remember to include a stamped, self-addressed envelope. If you have any changes regarding address, phone/cell numbers or email address please submit changes to ladies3481@yahoo.com.
Membership
Please be prepared with your membership card as it will be checked at every meeting by Noreen McCabe, Sergeant at Arms and attendance will be taken by Dorothy Morgan.
Sunshine Sick/Vigil
If you know of a member who is sick or has had a recent death in the family, please notify Cynthia Ferraro at 516-678-1416.
Lifetime Member
If you were 80 years old by September 4, 2018, you will be considered a "Lifetime Member" and your dues will be waived. Please provide proof to Financial Secretary, Doreen Caputi 516-633-1376.

Day at the Races - Sunday, March 3rd Doors open at 12:00 pm – 1st race post time 1:00pm. $20 pp includes spaghetti & meatball dinner, beer, wine, soda.
