Dear Sisters of the Auxiliary,
Happy Valentine's Day! I am extremely excited with all the upcoming events. Let's work in sisterhood and support the most recent upcoming events, the "Paint Night" and our most important event of the year our "Fashion Show." Please help us with the Financial Ocean Federal Credit Union Fundraiser by opening an account or referring a friend. Please remember that for every account opened by our members and their family, the credit union will donate $10.00 to our Auxiliary. Programming Event for February 2018 Meeting
American Heart Association ~ Heart Disease Awareness Month. We will have a guest speaker that will share with us how we can reduce our risk for coronary artery disease (CAD), which can lead to a heart attack. Wear RED to support heart disease. Nominating Committee
At our next meeting, we will be asking for three members who are in good standing and have been a member for at least two years, to be part of the nominating process. These three members along with Audrey Peluso, PP and Tina Rossetti, PP will make up the committee to propose a slate of officers for our election in May.
Paint Night
Saturday, February 10, 2018 5:00pm-8: 30pm - St. Anthony's Church Cafeteria $45pp. Join the Ladies Auxiliary for Wood Pallet Paint Night with JL Designs. Advance reservations a must… no walk ins. Price includes a 12x14 pallet and all art supplies. Food and drinks available and please bring your own as well. *50/50 raffle! Bring a friend or two and come join us for some late afternoon fun! The fashion show is approaching quickly and this has historically been our biggest and most important fundraiser for our charities. In order to make this event successful we need your help. Please help us by contributing every month an item listed below. Thanking you in advance for your support! Suggestions are wine, scratch offs, gift cards, non-perishable foods, sport items, beauty products, etc. The item(s) must be new and unused.
February: Bring in any type of item to help build a basket.
March: Pair up in a group of 4 and build a basket /or donate a fully packed basket.
April: Bring in a $5.00 scratch off ticket for a lottery frame.
Thursday, April 26, 2018, Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets will be available starting at our February Membership Meeting. Ladies Tease up your hair *Guys dust off those Members Only jackets! Watch the models walk down the runway! We are accepting dues for 2017/2018 Auxiliary. If you have not paid your dues, you are in jeopardy of being removed from the mailing list. Please help us by looking at the list of non-paid members and if you know a sister who hasn’t paid, please remind them in effort to help our membership grow. Checks for dues are payable to Ladies Auxiliary and mailed to the attention of Financial Secretary, Ladies Auxiliary 2985 Kenneth Place, Oceanside, NY 11572. Any member 80 years of age and above as of September 8, 2015 will be considered a "Lifetime Member" and your dues will be waived. You must provide proof to the President to receive your Lifetime Membership pocket Card.
Recipe Book – Celebrating 60 Years of The Ladies Auxiliary
The book is coming to print shortly! Recipes are still being accepted but we are getting very close to the maximum. If you would like to contribute please contact Audrey Peluso, PP 516-404-0614 or Amy Bermudez, PP 516-384-9566.
Join us as we continue to pray for the restored health of our past president Debbie Metzler. If you know of a member that is sick or has had a recent death in the family please notify Michelle Ciardulli Cell: 516-507-9570.
$368.00 collected to date; the goal is $400.00. Please keep saving and donating your pennies. Jane Magno-D'Anna, PP will be collecting at every meeting until our goal is met.
